Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and the United Steelworkers of America reached a tentative national contract agreement Saturday night.

The four-year agreement came about three hours before midnight, when the old contract was set to expire.

It affects about 10,300 Steelworkers at seven plants in the U.S., including about 2,500 of 3,000 workers at Goodyear's tire plant at 6650 Ramsey St. in Fayetteville. (more…)
