RALEIGH — Hundreds came to a rally downtown Saturday to support health-care reform and to try to take back a debate that so far has been largely dominated by those opposed to President Barack Obama's health-care proposals.
Demonstrators carried signs, cheered and even shed tears as speakers talked of the need for a health-care plan that includes a government health insurance option. Speakers at the event on the State Capitol grounds urged the demonstrators to lobby lawmakers and to challenge arguments and statements put forward by opponents of such a plan. (more…)
