A small group of concerned citizens in Clay Co., WV about 20 years ago fought the good fight to prevent Waste Management, Inc. and the Clay Co. Commissioners from allowing a permit to dump out-of-state garbage in the hills and valleys of the economically-challenged county in WV. We succeeded. Then the same groups tried to get a medical waste dump just off Interstate 79 in Clay Co., WV. We stopped that too. The Waste Management, Inc., group merely changed tactics, to get what they wanted: NJ garbage to be put in the beautiful hills and valleys of West Virginia. They promised jobs. But the local citizens knew that there would be few jobs. And we knew that no dump can be prepared, so that it does not leak poisons into the water tables. Now, I would assume, a similar group is trying the same tactics in NC. JUST STAND UP AND SAY NO. GET THE ENVIRONMENTAL GROUPS INVOLVED TO JUST SAY NO.

You tell ‘em Nancy. By the way, where do you put your waste products?
