Online poll: Readers feeling lucky about the lottery

Will McDowell News readers play North Carolina’s lottery when the games begin?
Our online poll says that’s a good bet.
A recent poll by Elon University found widespread support for the lottery continues, despite setbacks that have included the resignation of three lottery commission members and investigations into lottery-related activities.
That poll also found that slightly more than 55 percent planned to play the lottery when the games begin?
We asked our readers if they would play. We received more than 200 responses. Seventy-five percent (158 votes) said yes and only 24 percent (51 votes) said no. (more…)
