Pull mental health care out of ditch

When the Legislature convenes in Raleigh in May, one of its top priorities ought to be fixing the mess that it has created while trying to reform the state’s mental health care system.
The idea was good. Lawmakers decided that communities could better provide care for people with mental health problems, disabilities and drug problems than the state could in state hospitals. (more…)
