Letters: Dole, Burr rubber-stamp Bush’s tax cuts

What is so sadly ironic about Sen. Elizabeth Dole’s recent vote against raising the federal minimum wage to help the working poor is that, in her role as chief fundraiser for Republican Senate candidates, she travels the country pleading for millions on behalf of wealthy politicians seeking office. If only she would devote that much energy to educating small-business owners that paying a living wage is, in the long run, best for our country. (more…)
