Navassa zoning, Oak Island beach bills fail to pass as others advance

Annexations, impact fees and infrastructure items are hot topics in the N.C. General Assembly this session.
State legislators representing Brunswick County filed several bills relating to those topics, and some didn’t make the deadline last week to have a chance of getting approved this year.
Most bills, except those involving money, had to pass from the House or the Senate to the other legislative body by the May 24 "crossover" deadline. (more…)
