George Lakoff, the preeminent thinker on effective communication for progressives, will offer a two-hour private (not open to the public) session for staff of Blueprint organizations ONLY on Saturday, March 1, 2008, from 1-3 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at 3313 Wade Ave. in Raleigh.

This is an incredible opportunity in this region of the country—because the West Coast professor is in great demand throughout the world.  He still maintains an active teaching schedule at UC Berkeley, and is deeply involved in the Rockridge Institute, http://www.rockridgeinstitute.org/

His visit is being made available to staff of Blueprint partners because the partner organizations believe effective communication is a critical piece of winning the public debate about issues in North Carolina.

Dr. Lakoff will discuss challenges in messaging the key progressive issues of our time, and will take questions during the session.  His latest book, Thinking Points, is available FREE on-line at http://www.rockridgeinstitute.org/thinkingpoints/.
