CEO of 501c Solutions discusses “Prospect Migration Toward a Major Gift”

Raleigh, NC (March 5, 2008) — The first stop in the Philanthropy Journal’s statewide Lunch ‘n’ Learn series is Research Triangle Park, where Tom Drew, president and CEO of 501C Solutions, will offer a workshop titled, “Prospect Migration Toward a Major Gift.”

The Lunch ‘n’ Learn workshop, which will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2008, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel Research Triangle Park, will examine the steps nonprofits can take to move prospective donors from identification and initial contact toward major gift donations.

“To cultivate major gifts, nonprofits need to initiate and foster long-term relationships with potential donors,” said Barbara Goodman, president of the A.J. Fletcher Foundation, which publishes the Philanthropy Journal. “We’re fortunate to have the year’s first Lunch ‘n’ Learn led by Tom Drew, who has engaged in nonprofit and political fundraising for more than 35 years, and can outline all the steps involved in moving prospects to make major donations.”

The registration fee for the workshop is $20 for Philanthropy Journal subscribers, and $30 for nonsubscribers. Lunch will be served and is included in the registration fee.

The Philanthropy Journal’s Lunch ‘n’ Learn series targets nonprofit professionals, board members, and volunteers in North Carolina. The event is co-sponsored by NCGives, Capital Business Solutions, Paragon Commercial Bank, and Triangle United Way.
