Do we agree that we're experiencing a time in which we need to spend our money in the best way? The May 17 article "Easley backs tribute to black experience" explained that Gov. Mike Easley wants to spend $1 million on a Freedom Monument. On May 29, an article said the Shepherd's Table doesn't have enough money in its budget to feed people who need food. (more…)
