Former Congressman Charles Taylor is hosting his annual Christmas dinner at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Grove Park Inn in Asheville.
This is the 17th year for the annual Taylor Christmas dinner, which has grown into the largest sit-down political dinner in North Carolina.
“We want to honor those who ran for and won various statewide offices in the 2008 elections,” said Taylor in a released statement. “We also want to pay tribute to those candidates who made the sacrifice to run and did not win.”
Republican presidential candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will speak to the crowd live via satellite from New York City. U.S. Sen. Richard Burr, N.C. Commissioner of Agriculture Steve Troxler, N.C. Commissioner of Labor Cherie Berry and N.C. Republican Chairwoman Linda Davies will also attend. (more…)
